I am assuming it functions correctly. Up for sale is a vintage American Optical improved geneva lens measure I will fix any problems. The needle does not go back to zero, but I do know if this is a sign of malfunction.
When I placed a lens against the 3 prongs, needle moves, but do not know how to interpret reading or if it is correct. 25 high with the cap attached, and almost 3/8 deep. Item has signs of age with scuffs and marks.
This item belonged to my husband, who was an engineer at American Optical. I'm not happy until you are. 53 in good condition.
